HAZARD Gallery is proud to present Channeling the Material, Johannesburg-based artist MJ Turpin's first solo exhibition with the gallery. This exhibition is the final show in the three-part series titled "Escape from Self"; the previous shows "You're Not an Artist, You're Just an Internet Trend" and "Escape from Self - Death, Money, Art" and were presented in 2014 and 2015 respectively.  

Channeling the Material is a conversation between materialism and materiality, pure aesthetics and the denial of deeper meaning.
