Opening: 6pm, Thursday 7th July

Exhibition continues until 7th August

Hazard Gallery in association with Slowtrack Gallery (Madrid) and The Spanish Embassy (JHB) are delighted to invite you to joint us for the private view of Juan Zamora's solo exhibition, '[kl] c

Born in Madrid, but having had residencies and shows all over the world, Juan Zamora is a truly international artist. A professor too, he brings a multidimensional approach to his work which spans varied media

The exhibition focus on the relationship between the click consonants of the Khoisan family languages and the sounds of water found in caves and around the Nirox Foundation of Johannesburg, located in the "Cradle of Humankind” Heritage site;

[kǀ] is the name of the (dental) click consonant corresponding to the “C” letter in Khosa language, used here as a primordial connexion between “The mother tongue" and “nature” to create a series of artworks (video, drawing and installation) from an “ecologic” perspective.

Join us between 6 - 8pm | Enquiries: khumo@hzrd.co.za
